A new place to leisurely choose watch straps is being prepared in Higashiosaka.
Thank you for always choosing JLC HandMade. JLC HandMade is currently preparing a new watch strap showroom in the Higashiosaka area of Osaka.
The official opening date and business hours will be announced once preparations are complete. Additionally, we will be reviewing some of our watch strap quality standards, and some online-exclusive prices will be revised starting August 1, 2026.
A new showroom is being prepared in Higashiosaka.
Until now, JLC HandMade has primarily operated online, receiving numerous inquiries regarding leather types, colors, stitching, thickness, and specifications.
However, the actual color, sheen, thickness, and overall impression when paired with a watch are difficult to convey solely through photographs.
The new showroom aims to be a place where customers can feel more confident in their choices by physically examining leather and watch strap samples. Once open, the showroom will be accessible without prior reservations.
The official opening date and operating hours will be announced via LINE, Instagram, and our official website as soon as preparations are complete.
In Higashiosaka, the city of manufacturing
Higashiosaka City was chosen as the location for the new showroom. Higashiosaka is known as the "city of manufacturing."
For JLC HandMade, which crafts each watch strap by hand, we feel it is a fitting place to dedicate ourselves to craftsmanship. We aim to create a place where you can choose the perfect strap for your cherished watch with greater care and confidence.
Revising watch strap specifications for longer and more comfortable use
In conjunction with the showroom preparations, we will also be reviewing some of our watch strap specifications. In particular, we will be reviewing the core material inside the strap and the finishing of the leather edges (koba).
- Review of Core Material We will revise the specifications to better suppress stretching and deformation during use. Our aim is to create watch straps that maintain their form on the wrist for longer periods.
- Review of Edge Finishing (Koba) We will review the finishing process for the leather edges to achieve a smoother and more consistent finish. We will strive for improvements that allow for beautiful and long-lasting use even with daily wear.
- Overall Quality Standard Review This review will be progressively applied to all materials handled by JLC HandMade, not just crocodile leather.
Because it's a strap for your cherished watch, we want to prioritize not just the price, but also its long-term reliability and comfort.
Regarding the revision of online-exclusive benefits
Until now, JLC HandMade has offered online orders at significantly more affordable prices than in-store prices.
For example, our most popular crocodile custom order was priced at ¥19,800 (excluding tax) online, compared to ¥26,800 (excluding tax) in-store, offering a saving of ¥7,000.
Due to the revision of our quality standards, some online-exclusive benefits will be revised starting August 1, 2026. For crocodile custom orders, the online price will be ¥23,800 (excluding tax), a saving of ¥3,000 compared to the in-store price.
The in-store price of ¥26,800 (excluding tax) will remain unchanged.

Q. Is a reservation required for the new showroom?
A. After opening, we are preparing the showroom to be open for walk-ins without reservations. Our main store in Osaka City will continue to be by appointment only.
Q. What is the location and access?
A. It is being prepared in Higashiosaka City, Osaka Prefecture, an area known as the "city of manufacturing." It is conveniently located for visitors from Osaka City and neighboring prefectures. The detailed location and grand opening date will be announced once preparations are complete.
Q. What changes will there be in quality?
A. For all leathers we handle, we will be reviewing the core material and the finishing of the edges (koba). We aim to create watch straps that are more resistant to stretching and deformation during use, making them easier to use for longer periods.
Q. Will the quality of leathers other than crocodile also change?
A. Yes. This review will be progressively applied to the entire JLC HandMade lineup, regardless of material, not just crocodile.
Q. Will the price of ready-made products also change?
A. Ready-made products will be offered at their current prices until the existing stock runs out. Products with new specifications (revised core material and koba finishing) will be announced upon their arrival.
